![]() ![]() Grab the Boss Key, then head back to the room where you met Darunia and enter the door to the Boss's Chamber.WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. Go into the next room and hit the rusty with the Megaton Hammer to free the last Goron. The little chest in this room contains some bombs. The battle is the same as before, so employ the same tactics and you should encounter no trouble. You have just one more thing to do before you can get the boss key, kill another dancing flame mini-boss. This room has a Like-Like, flying tiles, and a Gold Skulltula in the back. Destroy the enemies within (a few Fire Keese and Torch Slugs) to unlock the door to next room. Whack away each tier to unveil a locked door, to which you have the key. Return to the entrance of the Fire Temple and head down stairs to the tribal statue on the right-hand side below. You've now successfully bridged the gap between the boss door and the existing platforms, but you still lack a boss key. Jump down after it to return to the room you met Darunia in. Climb up blue block to go back out the door you came in through.īack in the fiery maze room, jump to the platform immediately in front of you and hammer it to make it drop. ![]() Now you can free another Goron and obtain another Small Key. Play the Song of Time to move the blue block and hit the switch it reveals. Nail the rusty switch, go through the door and jump the gap to reach the blue block. Smash the block with the hammer to reach the fiery maze room again. Pick up a crate and set it down on switch to keep it depressed to head through the door. Smash the pillar in the next room to create a set of stairs, leading down to a blue switch. The statue blocking the door can be beaten away with the hammer (be sure to hit it from the side). Megatonhammer.bmp Creating a Path to the Boss Return to where you entered this room and use the Megaton Hammer on the square platform. Reach the treasure chest before time runs out to get your hands on the Megaton Hammer. Be careful about running too wildly up the narrow steps lest you fall off and have to start over. In the next room, step on the switch to temporarily remove the flames from around the treasure chest at the top. The timer on this one is much shorter, so it's better to gain a bit of time by hitting the switch from the top, near the fence. There's another diamond switch that deactivates another fire around the base of the chain-link fence. Take the activated platform to the fourth floor. The core returns to the flames to regenerate its body. The core sprouts legs and tries to run away from you, but simply cut it off by going in the opposite direction and keep slashing. The alternative is to bomb it, but that's a little trickier (and wastes bombs). The trick is to simply use your Hookshot to pull out the shrimpy core and slash at it. The next room boasts a fire mini-boss that prances about and looks a lot more intimidating than it really is. Return to the room with the moving wall of flame and enter the locked door on the high platform. This opens another cell with a Goron and a S mall Key on the right side of the room (facing away from the door you entered). Climb back up, get to the platform with a switch on it, and push the switch. Free the Goron here and nab the Small Key from the chest. It's a huge drop to the bottom, so be careful. Hop to the platform with the Torch Slug on it and blow open the cracked floor. Return to the room containing the scarecrow. Hookshot up the the post and then run up the chest. To get it, step on the switch to temporarily lower the flames. There is a Huge Rupee in the chest at the top of this room. Enter the next room, and use your Hookshot to defeat the Gold Skulltula, who resides on the wall over the large hole. Climb up the chain-link walls to the next door, killing the Gold Skulltula and collecting its token along the way. ![]() Ride the platform up, and go through the door. Hookshot up to the scarecrow, turn around and Hookshot to the small platform. Scarecrow's Song: As soon as you enter this room, turn to the right and play the Scarecrow's Song. ![]()
